Frankfurt (Oder) doesn’t really have many claims to fame apart from being the birthplace of Heinrich von Kleist, getting mistaken for another city with the same name and being on the Polish border.

The map here shows how to get from the station to the bridge over the river which forms the border. Tram number 1 goes near to the bridge. Pics of our trip are below.

It takes about 1hr 15mins on the train from Berlin and if they are up to five of you it is worth getting a Berlin-Brandenburg ticket which gives unlimited travel for the day in Berlin and Brandenburg.
